Really wishing I got a 4x4 right now

This storm is so-cal is pretty crazy...

I went blasting through puddle yesterday on a flooded road. I'd hit the muddy fire roads but don't want to get stuck

Isnt that what your LS1 Jeep is for? What part of So Cal? I am sure there are a couple of us that wouldnt mind doing a little mudding and assist in pulling out a 2wd if need be.

I also have street tires on the 4runner

I just got it a few weeks ago so I haven't had a chance to do much. Plan to do like 1 size up BFG AT's and maybe a small lift.

Unless you're having problems getting going, a 4WD isn't going to help much, compared to a good set of tires!

In the Sierra's, I can tell when my 4WD kicks in, and it really hasn't done that even driving through 18" of powder on my unplowed driveway, which I'm going to need to do tonight (had to leave town and we had a nice little dumping on Wednesday and Thursday).

I travel to the snow a lot and its just a lot less stress knowing you can kick it in 4wd as a backup.

I used to have a 4x4 dodge ram cummins. That thing would go anywhere. I miss that truck,
