Rear axle vent?

2009 Sport 2WD.

I changed my rear diff fluid today. I drove the vehicle for about 10 miles before the change out and I noticed a lot of positive air pressure came out when I removed the fill plug first. Do I have a rear axle vent? If so, where on the axle should I be looking? Should I be concerned that it's clogged or blocked?

The breather valve should be on the upper-left side of the differential (when looking from the rear of the vehicle)... it's just a little button-looking thing. I did the rear-diff mod which extends the breather up higher out of the way of dirt and debris. The factory breather is a check-valve... It'll let pressure out, but is supposed to prevent anything from being sucked in. I've heard that it can create a vacuum by relieving pressure while hot and then cooling back down. You can see in the link above that I went with just a little filter element that allows air to move in and out as required. I've seen several guys do this on different vehicles.
