Rear Bearing Puller/Press Tool Loaner Program

Have you tried flipping the bearing retainer that the axle seal rides on and doing a grease/sharpie test to verify where it is riding?
But did you do a grease or sharpie test to see where the seal was riding? That's the important part.

Grease tested it, and lasted about 6 months and leaked again.
I even bought the bearing holder (Cup looking thing) brand new. Axle is straight, no Diff issues.
I will post up results and pictures of the Retainer prior to install.

I’m definitely curious to have you report back after installing a larger diameter retainer that makes a stronger connection with the axle seal??

Update 10/21/2019:
[MENTION=319302]Bad Luck[/MENTION] got the tool back to me since I've not had any other requests. He added a 4"x4" plate along with some PVC piping to help with all the press work to make it more of a complete package.
He's a stand up guy! :cheer2:

This is so awesome! I was just about to go buy one of those tools on ebay to do my upcoming bearings/seals. Just got the shop press put together this past weekend and about to order all the parts. Do I just pop back on this thread to make a tool request when I have everything ready to start the job?

weekendclimber, you are a legend for making the tool available! As others above said, a deposit might be a good idea to make sure it doesn't wander off. (Also, if you kept a few bucks for the administrative beer fund I would be totally cool with that.) :beer:

As much as I'd like to add you to the list, I see that you're up in Canuckistan. I've not checked postage for sending it up to the Great White North, but my inclination is to keep this going in the lower 48. Not that I have anything against our brethren up in Canaderp, but unfortunately I may not be able to accommodate you. If you can PM me your address, I can check and see if this is going to be an issue. :cheers:

No worries! I live close to the border, and have an address in WA for receiving packages. (We mostly like to huddle along the 49th parallel for warmth anyways. :canada I don't want this to get pricey or complicated for anyone. I'll PM you my info. Thanks again!

Got it. Shoot, I could just drive it to you, lol. I'm just about an hour South of you along I-5. I'll get you added to the list today.
