Ok --- finally got my Runner back this afternoon after that dude hit me last week... and it looks like the body shop didn't quite do something right with the bumper. I can't tell if a piece is missing or what ... so, I would love it if one of you guys (or gals) can take a look at these pics and compare them to your Runner. For reference, these pics are from my 2005 Sport Edition.
Thie first pic shows the mount where my trailer hitch would normally go (if the stupid thing wasn't on back order). This one is going to be a little hard because the hitch is obviously missing so it is going to look a little different off the bat. The part that I am concerned about is the fact that the mount point closest to the foreground of the picture is actually touching my spare tire. Well --- to be honest --- it is actually pressed slightly into my spare tire. How much of a gap (if any) should there be between the spare and this mount point? I would have thought that if something was pushed in, the body shop would have taken care of it. But --- they obviously didn't.
These next two pics show basically the same thing (one on the drivers side and one of the passengers side). The two plactic connectors on the plastic bumper taps underneath the car are obviously not connected to anything. Are these supposed to go into a hole some where on the metal bumper plate ... or is there a piece missing? There are holes on the plate ... but none seem to perfectly line up with the connectors.
