Rear Clunking Noise

Im a bit new to the site finally figured out how to post. Im 16 and i have a 1999 4runner limited with about 250k on it when i go over speed bumps it makes this clunking popping noise hard to describe. i havent done the shocks yet im thinking thats what it is but was wondering if anyone else has this problem. If someone could help me that would be great thanks. :biggrin2:

Broken sway bar end links or their bushings

Check the simple things first to rule them out. Make sure the jack and accessories under the rear passenger seat are not bouncing around, storage compartment in the rear doesn't have anything in it, and check to make sure the spare tire is nice and tight up against the truck.

Solved it

Broken sway bar end links or their bushings

I had my dad look it is a bad bushing on one of the arms hope to have it fixed soon its driving me crazy!!!!!!

if its the upper rear control arm you will need to replace the entire arm.

Is it the control arms or the end link bushings?
