Sorry, I wasn't very clear. My problem is that it is bottoming out in the rear. I thought that a spring rubber (the ones that are like a donut and fit between the coils) would help. After 200k it needs help. I read where a guy replaced the coils and it didn't help. I replaced the shocks and it doesn't seem to help (not knowing if I got some crappy shocks) I saw the bags that go inside the coil and am wondering if that is the best way to go. I really don't want to replace the shocks again. The top nut on the left side shock is practically impossible to get to.
With that all being said, I am looking for some direction.

You can pick up the spring rubbers that your describing at any advance Napa whatever. You could also get a Daystar 1.5 inch spacer for like 30$? And it would help. I would go with the lift spacer myself as I would imagine the rubbers stiffening the suspension a bit.

I have searched everywhere for 1 1/2 inch spacers. Any idea where I can get them.

Thanks but I am looking for the spring rubber. All that I can find are 1 inch and the space between the coils is 1 1/2 inch. I want to make the spring stiffer by putting the donut shaped spacer in the middle of the coil spring.

OK now that we have a little more info, I believe I have the solution.
Are you towing a load and bottoming out, or bottoming out even when unloaded?
If you are bottoming out when unloaded, then you will need new shocks at a minimum in the rear. If that does not cure your bottoming, then your springs are shot, and will need replacing. These are the only 2 components that could cause the rear end to bottom out constantly when unloaded. I would start with shocks, and if that does not work, you can pick up some new springs from the auto parts store. Or you can go with some Old Man Emu coils if you are looking for a little lift.
