Rear Control Arm Skid Plate

Hey everybody,

Does anybody on here know of a good rear control arm bracket skid? There are some excellent options for the 3rd gen Runners, but I can't seem to find anything similar for the 2nd gen 4Runners.

I have a really nice and clean 93 that's been 3.4 swapped, supercharged, 7th injected, ARB locked, lifted and loaded on 33's, and I have found that these rear control arm brackets (and gas tank) are the most vulnerable portions of the vehicle's underbelly.

Here is a link to the exact skid that I'm looking for, but I'm simply not sure if these work on the 2nd gens:

NEW! Bolt on Rear trailing arm mount skids

Here's what they look like on the trucks:

I plan on doing a comprehensive build thread sometime soon, I just haven't had the time yet. If you guys know of a skid for this part of the truck, or can simply confirm / deny that these do / don't work on 2nd gens, that would be radical.

Thanks for any input guys!

I think most people just weld some 1/4" steel to the frame. I have a 3rd gen and love mine. I hit them so much and have saved my brackets for sure.

(this pic was before I gouged them up haha)
