Rear Defog and Rear Wiper

Anybody with ideas on why both of these would not be working? The back window does go up and down. Just the defog and wiper aren't working.

You need to initialize the rear hatch. Put the window down and hold the switch in the down position for like 5 - 10 seconds. Put it back up and check it.

The window is either not getting closed completely or there is a problem with the internal switch in the lift gate. If this switch is not tripped it will not allow the rear defrost or wiper to work.

More likely, the computer just doesn't think it's closed completely. That's why the re-initialize process is usually successful.

This is a common problem when the battery has been disconnected.
