Rear Defrost Trouble

Hey,
so been driving up to the mountain alot lately and found out that my rear defrost isnt working!!

The rear windshield wiper and fluid still work, and when i turn the rear defrost on the light come on, but doesnt defrost the back.

Just wondering if anyone have any suggestions.
-Btw: its a '97 sr5 also my dream rig

Well it is technically a defogger so it isn't designed to remove frost or ice. You can start by inspecting the heating wires, looking for any deep scratches or breaks, and inspecting the clip that attaches to the heating wires. You should also check the fuse for good measure, although the entire circuit shouldn't be working if the fuse is bad

Where would the clip be located at?
(sorry im a girl, and dont know much about it yet...yet being the keyword haha..willing to learn!)

I can't remember which side it's on but you will have to remove the interior panel. The pull strap cover pops off and there's a 10 mm bolt that has to be removed. Then you just have to pop the interior panel off and slide it up

My rear defrost/fog also isn't working. Going to have a look at it tomorrow, I'll take some pictures of it coming appart for a reference.

Yeah it's a separate pump. I would start with listening to see if the pump is actually working. If it does then it should just be a line issue. The rear line is more susceptible to freezing too
