Rear diff breather location?

Checkmate hookers. It's a one way valve. Relocating the stock diff breather WILL NOT protect you from submerging the diff in water.

I guess I'm not debadging my bumper after all.

The factory breather IS a ONE WAY VALVE.

Use some small PVC pipe and sit up next to your truck for the front.

Use the funnel tip for the transfer case and dump 3/4 of the bottle into it. Set the near empty bottle next to the rear diff.b repeat about 2-3 times. I did it three times because I used half of the first bottle to rinse the rear diff and transfer case. T case takes about 1.2 quarts.

Fill the rear diff with your partial bottles and fill the rest of the way with your remaining bottles. No fancy pump required.

I literally just did this about ten minutes ago. (It's hot as balls today)

Agree on the rear...but on the front diff for V8 models...no room to tilt up the bottle...

Howdy! Just trying to understand the significance between a one way valve and a two way valve in this application as I am no expert in this. Does a one way valve make re-locating your diff breather redundant? I would imagine if the valve is up high out of harms way, one way/two way valving would not make a difference. Therefore, I feel a one way valve relocation still provides as much value than a two way. What am I missing?

I have my breather valve, rubber hose, and union ready to go! About to do this mod and was just seeking some extra clarification. At the moment, I'm between routing this hose either in the gas tank or engine bay. BTW, I bought 1/4 inch I.D. rubber hose from Lowes. 3/8 was HUGE (I brought the fitting with me to check). Took me about 15 minutes of bruising my palm to get the sucker in there. I'd bet 5/16 I.D. would be just right.
