Your 95 is a second gen. Assuming you're the V6/automatic, you're going to have to dissassemble most of the transmission in order to work on the tcase, they're built as one unit. If you have the 4cyl or a manual trans, the transfer case can be pulled leaving the transmission in place.
For a '95, here's the possible motor/transmission/tcase combos:
3.0/automatic - a340h transmission with integral transfer case
3.0/manual - r150 transmission with separate vf1a transfer case
2.4/automatic - a340f transmission with separate vf2a transfer case
2.4/manual - g58 transmission with separate vf1a transfer case
