rear door carpet

So I did this a while back but never got around to putting up pics. Just a roll from pep boys and some 3M spray glue. Pop the panel off, spray both carpet and door panel. intall carpet and mash it on with a soft cloth to work it into all the ups and downs. Wrapped the carpet around the lip about 2 inches and reinstall. Pretty cheap insurance to keep the door from scratched up and dinged.
About 25 bucks is all it cost me.

Looks good, does the carpet match the rest of the vehicle? If my hatch gets scratched up too bad this is something I might try.

thats pimp, but why not do something more exotic? like chinchila? tiger skin, something like that, snake, aligator, sheep.

@ JCR....yes it is almost a perfect match. i did my cargo box in the same carpet also.

kyle, do it.....why wait till all get messed up. it was quick and easy to do. cheap insurance is my thoughts.

It's already messed up in that truck. And the other one doesn't have that problem. But when I get back home to the 2WD i will do it. Might as well before it gets worse than it is.

Hatch lights? I know my 4th gen Limited doesn't have lights on the rear door itself. Just on the headliner.

Looks good!

I think that would be awesome. Are there many things running under the carpets that you would need to worry about relocating/covering?

There's a company out there that makes custom fit full vinyl floor replacements for like cabs and cop cars and such. I was looking into it before I got the WeatherTech's but its pricey and the install would be a pain since its removing the entire carpet.

Not to mention rhinoline is pretty heavy. I have been looking for something to protect the sides of the cargo area. It's getting pretty scratched up..
