Rear Door Speaker Replacement Question

I am looking to replace my rear door speakers to acheive more bass. Could I simply replace the speakers that are in the doors with these:

Yes, these will work, but you need to do one of the following:

1. buy speaker mounting adapter (crutchfield.com
2. build mounting adapter
3. modify existing speaker to use as a mounting adapter. (I did this)

I'm curious how much difference new rear speakers will make... mainly because they have to punch their sound through those crummy plastic grills.

If you don't put more power to them (amp or headunit) they won't make that much of a difference. I would concentrate on the front doors first.

I recently put in a JVC nav HU (4 x 20W RMS) which is why I'm planning on trying new speakers. The old speakers seem to sound worse than ever with a more powerful amp.

But the real bass sound is in the front doors (6x9"); if you can use dynamat in the doors is the best choice for enhance the sound quality in your t4r
