Rear door won't open.

My rear door has been working just fine and then yesterday I tried to open it and it won't work. The handle feels like it's not catching, if ya know what I mean. I'm just guessing that maybe something came undone inside. Any suggestions? How hard is it to remove the inside covering to get to the guts of the door?

Mine does this sometimes, I can usually get it to open by applying pressure above the handle on the plastic license plate surround thing, or sometimes on the metal of the liftgate itself.

I had this problem for a long time and finally removed the panels to the door and took a look around. I was able to fix mine with some well placed electrical tape. The cable that came from the handle to the latch at the bottom of the door would occasionally come loose when the door was shut. I just tape the cable in place so that it wouldn't come loose anymore. I haven't had a problem since. It may not be the same problem your having but it's always worth it to pop open the door and have a look inside.

Mine does this. Broken wires in the flex tube between the hatch and the body. if I use the key to unlock it it will work just fine
