rear e-brake extension

im planning to do a 2" bl over my 6" rear suspension. I want to know how to extend my e-brake cable. Its already stretched out with the bracket so im sure that its not gonna accomadate another 2". Ive done the search with no real answers. Any help?

Unhook it from the bracket near the center of the axle. You will might have to disconnect it from the bracket at the gas tank strap too. You'll have plenty of cable.
 
I had a very similar problem with my 99. The dealer replaced the worn out one with an aftermarket cable. It was on the short side and very hard to adjust. So I had some 1x 1 1/8" flat stock and made a clevis style extension. Picture the e-brake cable end and the actuator arm at the drum sandwiched in between the 2 pieces of flat stock. Give yourself some play to adjust with at the lever, measure the distance and cut to length and drill.
