Rear elocker with 4:10 and two half axles

Found the rear elocker 3rd member with :10 ration and two axles from a seller in CL. He wants $300 and claims the truck got 85K miles and no noise from the rear axle at the time of removal.

Is this a good price and how easy to grind off the extra piece from the non-locked rear axle hosing?
The ratio is the same I have in my truck A03A.

Not sure if you need the axles someone else in the know please chime in. Yeah that is a good deal imo not overpriced. I have looked for a 4:10 complete rear end with e locker and only found one for $800 at a salvage yard in Colorado (probably all rusted). So imo $300 for just the 5th member and electronics is fair. Try to get the wiring for the e locker or at least the plugs for it and the switch.
Grinding the rear housing is fairly simple if you are handy with an air grinder. Do a search and you will find a how to for it.

I found the retrofit a little intimidating, but I'm not a welder. Here's what I referenced. Maybe there's an easier way, I don't know. Axles are all the same.

You'll also need to confirm you have the same axels as him: ABS and non-ABS axel seals are in different locations in the housing. All you really need in the 3rd member, elocker ecu, locker button, and the 5 green wires if you are prewired for an elocker if you want to go the OEM route.
