Rear End Oil

I'm about to have a Detroit limited slip installed on my 95 Runner. I'd like to put Mobil 1 in ($10.oo/qt ) Does anyone know of any reason not to?

What does Tractech recommend?. They must have some guidelines?.

I echo checking for manufacturer's reccomendations.

Mobile1 should be fine if you get the right stuff.

I just went and bought a 5 gallon bucket of Gl5 (?...long day) and changed out everything. Took 3 gallons of it!

5 gal was cheaper than buying by the quart! I got more lube for much less. You may look into something similar if your trans and t-case need changing too.
