Rear end sagging

What is the acceptable way to compensate for the rear end sag on a '85 4-Runner. My truck has the 2" arched springs from Downey Toyota in CA installed. Even before I replaced the factory springs this trucks rear end was sagging right off the dealers show room floor. I'd like to lift it some how so the truck sits level. Any suggestions?

Your choices are:

1) new packs - stock height or 1" or more of lift, may give harsher ride depending on whose and how much lift

2) Add-A-Leafs - will give 1-2" of lift over what ever you have now. May give a harsher ride

3) Longer shackles - give 1" or more of lift, don't affect ride

4) Spacer blocks - give 1" or more of lift, don't affect ride

I looked at a longer shackle '87 4-Runner the other day. This guy said it would take care of my sagging also. Looks fairly easy to do, am I wrong?

Easy to do, yes.

A shackle designed for a few inches of lift is fine.

Gabriel Hi-Jackers would also work too. Autozone.com has them. If you dont know they're air adjustable
