Rear end sliding back and forth in snow, can

Just bought my T4R a couple weeks ago! But I'm having some issues while driving in the snow. I've been searching all over and can't find anything. I've never experienced something like this but it is very uncomfortable. Before I describe it, know that I've driven in snow for years and years in many vehicles (RWD, FWD, AWD, 4x4, small trucks, big trucks, SUV's and all).

While driving on dry/wet pavement my T4R tracks straight and normal. I've cornered hard and have had no issues. However, while in snow, light or heavy, I can't keep the dang thing straight! Feels like someone is pulling my rear end out from me, although it's not aggressive. It happens regardless if I'm in 2H, 4H, or 4H w/diff lock. Almost seems like the traction control is tripping out and pulling me around though no lights come on and I can't hear the actuation. I'm seriously chasing the rear end constantly and sliding all over the place. Meanwhile, BMW's with low pro's on bald tires are passing me.

-Tire pressure is good
-Tires are in decent shape (Toyo a/t)
-Sway bars feel solid
-Shocks aren't bouncy and feel solid

Any ideas?!

Get a 4 wheel alignment. Sound like your rear axle mite be a little off ?

The Toyo AT in my experience is not a very good tire. Terrible in the rain, same for the snow. Some will argue differently but that's just my experience. With that said, have you checked to be sure that all 4 tires are the same size? If someone threw a different size on front to rear, that will cause serious issues especially in 4wd.

Could be an alignment issue, though it doesn't pull one direction or the other. It seriously feels like the traction control is pulling the rear end out on me both left and right and only when in snow or bumpy road on slick surface.

As far as tires; I'd feel more comfortable in an old mustang on bald tires. It looks up just fine (appropriately) when I'm playing around or swerving back and forth. The back end seems to just pull out on me (as if I let off the throttle mid turn pushing it) but while going in a straight line.

I hated my Toyo AT's in the rain and snow. Much happier with the Destination AT's, smoother ride as well.

Id recommend putting some weight in your rear end (~ 100 pounds) and making sure you have good tires for snow as the first step. Its common in RWD vehicles
