rear ending a tree

my son just rear ended a tree with his 2003 limited 4 runner. since he has a limited budget(no job now) dad decided to fix it damage is minor and we must replace a rear bumper cover with reflector and tail light lense and housing. body shop will paint the bumper and we will put back together!!! anyone have any tips or advice for us. my son claims there is no metal damage,

Just a question, did the tree fall over? Usually when anything BIG, HEAVY and Toyota hits anything, the other thing usually has much more significant damage.

Other than that, check if the tow hitch is damaged if you have one.

Bring the 4Runner to the body shop when the bumper is painted. The painter will need to match the color shade of the vehicle to ensure a good match to the quarter panels and tail gate.

The rear bumper on the 2003-05 are three pieces.

the damage is to the passenger side and the rear bumper cover (corner} on that side is the only piece out of the three that is cracked

If that right rear corner is cracked, you have to replace it.
