Rear frame plating

I have done a little searching and couldn't find much of anyone on the subject. I will be adding an aftermarket rear plate bumper and a friend of mine asked if I would be plating the frame. I had never heard of this being done on a 3rd gen 4Runner. Has anyone done it? Has anyone had issues with the rear of the frame after adding a rear plate bumper?

It's an easy piece of mind modification but I don't think it's really necessary unless you have a really heavy bumper and tire carrier

I beefed up my frame a little when I built my rear bumper. Like kryptoroxx said - peace of mind.
