Rear Glass

In my 02 4runner when the rear glass window is not fully closed the window itself moves and sits loose in the tailgate. When the window is completely closed it sits in there snug and secure. Is this normal or is mine having problems

I've got the exact same problem, I want to know how to secure the window better. When I go over speed bumps it makes a terrible rattling sound.

yepp mine does the same. I asked my dealer and they said leave it and itll be fine cuz its tooo expensive to fix.

So i'm just gona wait till it falls out, then I guess i'll have to fix it.

There's got to be a way to make it more secure. I don't wanna take a dealers word for it.

Did some research, seems as if thats how its supposed to be the window doesnt sit in a track in the fully open position just when partially open/closed is when the window slides into the upper track.

hmmmm...hopefully someone can figure something out so it can easily secured.
