just recently, when I open my rear hatch, the rear dome light doesnt come on. Does anyone know if the switch is inside the latch? And how can I remedy this problem? And yes the light does work when turned on manually..

and this is what i said... i basically fixed this by getting really angry at it.
at the time, both my parking lights had burned out within 5 hrs of eachother, so i was pissed that this bulb was gone too. so i flicked the switch and saw it worked manually, which made me angrier.
so i pushed it back to "door" and pushed HARD. and it lit up. and from then on, it has worked!
i dont know how or why but it worked. cant say it will for you, but it did for me!
