Rear Hatch Lock fell out?

Lock fell out some how now im trying to find where to place the assembly. It should be easy but I just cant find where to put that rod the locks and unlocks the cylinder.

the same thing happened to mine and i haven't had time to look at it. i can hear it when i hit a bump or make a turn.

The lock is normally secured to the plastic license surround. It has broken off and you will have to remove the interior plastic and metal plate behind it to get to it. I JB Welded my friends back on which worked well.

I had the rear glass replaced, and the monkey who worked on it, ended up pushing mine inside the lift gate as well. When I got the truck home, I took apart the lift gate, and then used some "self tapping" screws and fastened the lock in place. It's been over a year, and still holding strong......
