Rear hatch motor reset?

I was working on my rear hatch today and unplugged a wire going to the motor, after I plugged it back in now my hatch will not auto-close or open from the outside.
I can only open it by climbing inside and pulling the manual lever from inside.

I tried unplugging my battery to reset it and it doesn't help. Is there a manual reset for this? Or possibly a fuse somewhere that blew?

What year is your T4R?
I'm pretty sure the 4th gens don't have a reset. I think you guessed right about a fuse.

Looks like an early 03 and I'm jealous of the location but had the same thing happen to my 03. I unhooked the bottom right connector from the rear door ecu for a few minutes. So if you still the the hatch cover off that is one way to fix it.
