Rear head rests

How many have kept them in ?

I pulled mine out after a couple days , they obstruct my view & I can't get my back seat down with them in . I can barely get it down flat without them in without a little work. Is it designed that you need to take them out every time you want to put the seat down ?

I very rarely carry anyone in the back so safety is not a concern .

Yanked them out for the winter. They're ok and don't obstruct my view when they're fully lowered.

They don't need to be removed to get the second row seats to fold. However, depending on your front seats' recline angles and how far they're slid back, it can make it difficult to fold the seats or impossible.

I removed mine, so I can get snowboards in the back and it also gives me a few extra inches to slide my seat and recline my seat back. IIRC, you're over 6' tall too right Falls? I had a similar discussion with my coworker this morning, only thing that sucks about being tall is fitting into small cars. I feel bad for my buddy cause I forgot to put them back when we hit the slopes this weekend and he goes "hey, where's your headrests?"

Yes I'm 6'2" , I have no problem fitting in the truck at all , ok with head room too with the sunroof .

There is just no way in hell to get the seats down with the head rest's on.

I do have my seats all the way back though , so it was either keep the headrests on and never fold down the rear seat or take them off and have full access .

I removed the center headrest for the back seat because it did obscure a small area when looking through the inside mirror.

Also I couldn't see my T4R.ORG decal which I mounted on the lower edge of the back glass.

I don't have a problem with room either at 6'1" and I have a moonroof too. I don't have my seats all the way back, but far back enough that seatbelt doesn't touch my shoulder when I'm buckled in. If the headrests are in place I usually have adjust the seatback angle and bring them more upright and I have to force the rear seatback down to get it to fold. The real b***h is getting the seatback up again, usually it requires sliding the front seats forward a bit before they'll lift up. So the easier solution is yank them out and leave them at the house.

Anyone want to sell me theirs? Previous owner had the rears folded up for dogs and couldn't find them at time of sale.

I leave mine in so I don't lose them. Plus I have 3 kids who occasionally ride back there.
