It seems that this turd of a vehicle just wants more attention, that's what I get for being nice to it and buying it some new parts last month...:madgrin:
Yesterday I'm underneath to bleed the brakes AGAIN. While laying on my back at the rear of the rig, I noticed some fresh brake fluid dripping on the diffy. I was pretty sure that I didn't fling any brake juice when I moved the hose from one side to the other, so started following the trail up to the left rear flex hose at the cross member. I see it dripping at the base of the crimped fitting. Damnit, more $$ and time.. I swear the last WJ I owned didn't need this much work.
Local commercial auto parts store can get a set, they're Dorman brand. I've had less than spectacular luck with dorfman parts in the past, and brake components are one area that I absolutely will not cut corners on.
This brings me to my questions.
(1) Has anyone else used the dorfman rear hydraulic lines with any success? Remember that the ABS trucks have 2 rear flex lines, one for each side so that the ABS can modulate each wheel.
(2) Will these stock length lines accommodate any suspension lift without being over stretched? I'm going to use some new '99 Highlander coils very soon.
