Rear Icon shock vibrating

I recently had an Icon Stage 1 installed and love it minus this clunking sound I have coming from the rear when I hit potholes or cracks in the road.

I got back there and was knocking around and noticed that my rear passenger shock makes a vibrating metal on metal noise when I knock on it. This is different than the clunk I hear when driving but could be related.

Everything seems tight but this noise has me a little worried. Any advice or words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Hmm, install looks like mine. I'll go tap on mine but I have never heard that noise. Maybe an internal issue with the shock? Who'd you buy them from? With the exception of the heim joints on my RSBLs, my suspension is silent.

I bought them from Wheelers and had them installed Wednesday. That noise is annoying and hopefully that's what is causing the clunk i hear when driving over potholes and cracks in the road. Seems like when the rear wheels drop suddenly, I get a metal on metal clunk so I can't be sure if its from the shock body or something else.

The other makes a little bit of noise but nothing like that one

Check the forward bolts on both lower links. Mine were torqued properly but one worked out a little resulting in a clunk similar to what you are describing.

I just retorqued it and everything has been fine. If I find a need to pull it for some reason, I'll be adding red loctite for peace of mind.

Until I get a solid answer, would you feel comfortable driving it? Nothing feels loose other than when knocking on the shock but there's that clunk when hitting potholes and id rather not damage anything if it's a possibility.

Well I got the clunk taken care of. One of the brake lines or brackets was a little loose so it was hitting the frame on bumps.

The rear shocks are still vibrating and I have an email and call out to Icon about this issue. The first person I spoke with seemed to think I was lying but I sent both videos so hopefully they can figure it out.
