Rear King Shocks clearance

So, I've owned my 4Runner a few months now.

I bought all new King 2.5 front and King 2.5 rear at the same time; also have the appropriate longer Durobump stops and OME890 rear springs for 2" of lift since I have a dual swing out.

With that being said, I installed all my own suspension per the instruction manual (not my first lift on any vehicle).

The rear shocks are side specific, due to the reservoir orientation.

I reached out to King about my issue, so while I wait to hear back, I want to gather thoughts here.

Do you have issues with either the frame contacting the hose fitting, or the reservoir body contacting the sway bar?

If I orient it where the sway bar doesn't hit the body, the hose fitting hits the frame. It got bad enough that I now have a small dent in the reservoir body and it sucks that this happened to shocks that are only months old.

Well you definitely need longer sway bar links, thats an extreme angle and stress i would say your mount bracket is bent but cant really tell from the picture.

The second picture looks that way, but that's because I unbolted the end links to get enough droop to install my springs.

They are not bent at all.

After looking at everything yesterday, it seems like longer sway bar end links would indeed help...but these shocks are meant as an OEM stock height up to a 2" lift. So the damage is already done.

No mention of any other modifications IE sway bar removal or longer end links in either the provided instructions, or on any website from any and all authorized dealers.

there was a post a few weeks ago in this forum about using a separate mount for the reservoir to avoid that kind of damage to the reservoir

Sucks that this happens on a pair of shocks only months old.

May have to buy some Bilstein 5100s as a temp back up while I try to get a new reservoir body.

My bad now i see the mount now. Looks like you can get longer links or mount the reservoir somewhere else.
