Rear ladder options

[MENTION=140870]Offcamber[/MENTION] bought one, but he determined it was going to take a large amount of fabrication to actually get it to work on the 4th gen.
I think Baja racks had one for awhile but it's no longer listed. Right now it's either a custom job or Gobi.

So how does the Gobi ladder mount to our hatch? Looks like it bolts to a plate that adheres and hooks around the hatch on the top and bottom of the ladder?
If it is easy enough to make, I think it would be pretty cool for my brother and I to start selling some. That is, until Gobi sues us...
At the very least maybe I can build one for my truck.

It's kinda hard to explain, but it basically sandwiches a plate on the lip at the bottom of the hatch and then I think on top too. You have to see it in person. Kinda like the rs cb mount. I only got a brief look at one a couple months ago.

I was looking through some older threads, and Drunner97 it seems like you and [MENTION=140870]Offcamber[/MENTION] are all over all of them haha but someone mentioned that Bajarack might be willing to still sell some if we contacted them? Potential new group buy? I'll try to get in contact them soon and report back what I hear
edit: It was [MENTION=131270]socal-4runner[/MENTION] who mentioned contacting bajarack, this was also about a year ago when he said it unfortunately
I'd love to see how your ladder would turn out after seeing your custom skid plates and front bumper.

Hah. Yeah I was seriously contemplating a ladder for awhile. I've got a rear bumper with swing out coming soon which is going to change the dynamics in the rear so any ladder now would have to be custom built.

Yeah I've enquired with them before about it. I was more chiming in to let any other fabricator that there's an interest for them.
