Rear main seal replacement inquiry

My rear main seal is seeping(fancy word for leaking) so its in the shop right now getting a new one. Question is how common is this? It seems like it all started after I ran through a mud hole in Long Island with LINY4Runner...

After this I've had to do valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, and now rear main seal...I've always heard mudding tears stuff up, but wow! Anybody else had to do a rear main seal?

when i pulled mine of at 198k it was dry as a bone but i said already this deep and replaced it the only then that sorta leaks is the oil pan i just run mobil clean 5k in 10w30

The rear main seal was leaking on my 95 for a while, but now it has stopped. Not a big deal, but just a little extra oil on the driveway. How much is it running you? Toyota wanted $1300 for mine to be done. What a joke!
