So I did my clutch a few weeks ago, while doing the clutch I pulled the rear main seal and replaced it. Well, apparently I didn't set it correctly because I'm losing a pretty considerable amount of oil, enough so that i am going to pull the trans and do it again. (Anyone want to help? Lol)
My question is, in my clutch replacement research, I seem to remember reading that Toyota had slightly changed the seal design after original production, and the new seal is slightly thinner (distance forward to aft as positioned on the motor). I thought what I had read seemed to have the old and new part numbers because the guy had to do the same thing as I am about to do.
Anyways, I can't seem to find that thread or information. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Can someone ask the car fairy to come fix it for me!?! Lol
