ever since the temp dropped my rear pass wheel in the morning has been locking up in drive but wont in reverse, i have to go from reverse to drive before it breaks free, im thinking its the rear drum but i dont want it to have anything to do with the axle, when you do move forward with enough throttle it spins the drivers tire but the pass stays stuck, any help would be great, thanks,,,

axle seal leaking on your breaks?
Mine did the same thing, itd lock up in the snow and id be driving down the road sideways, i think the gear oil gets on the breaks and binds up when cold. gonna have to replace that seal probably. look inside your rim if theres oil everywhere, its blown.

thanks, i was really wanting it to be something to do with the breaks, i only bought it prob a month ago and the dealership i got it from told me to bring it down monday so ill let him know and try to get out of paying for it, thanks for the help
I posted to a thread about the same problem including the solution. That problem has not returned since I put in my "fix". Gone a lot of miles and had a lot of driving with some freeze time in there and all is good.
The "fix" is to bevel/chamfer the brake pads on the edges. It can be done on the vehicle with a angle grinder if you are careful or off on a bench grinder, etc.
All you want to do is break the edge of the 90 degree angle of the pad surface.
Of course if you have axle oil on the pads, you have a different problem.

Similar thing happened to me as well, i would step on the gas and wouldn't move, then my rear brakes would finally release, my rear axel seals were leaking so bad, rear differential oil was getting all over my rear brakes causing them to seeze up. Do what DewRunner says and check inside your rim for oil.
