Is the rear power window switch inside supposed to act like the (2) switches for the front driver's and passenger's side windows? ie: the auto-power down and up - Is the rear switch supposed to do the same?

I found this re: 2006 Runners and was curious to know if that is how ours is supposed to be. Let me know.

i know that it comes stock with auto down from the fob, but no auto down or auto up from the dash

The key fob opens the rear window all the way down. To close it, you insert the key in the key hole on the back hatch and turn it full right and hold it. This will close it. You can also open and close window using the interior switch.

To program your key fob to work, just swing by the dealer service dept. real quick. They can do it 1-2-3 @ no charge.

As far as the auto down thing I agree w/ Lee, the dash button is not designed to be one touch auto down. I agree it would be a cool feature but I think that programming is for the 4th gen and won't work on a 3rd, give it a try and tell us what happens. As for the clicker, DO NOT go to the dealer unless they will program it for free. It is ridiculously simple to program them. Either search yotatech for the procedure or PM me and I'll send it out.

As I suspected, I just tried it for the heck of it on my 02 and no go. Seems like it should be possible though, if the clicker has auto down then the dash button should be able to work that way as well. I just want auto down, auto up I can do w/o.

I have a 01 SR5 and I can also open/close the rear window by holding the key in unlock/lock position on the rear door.

So you can close the window without having the key in the ignition.
