Rear right end spitting oil... seal broken?

My 1990 Runner started to spit oil from under the rear right brake drum (or somewhere close there).
I noticed it after my trip to Kazakhstan, the roads weren't all even and I did get into a couple holes on the way.
The guys told me it could be the losen oil seal due to the bent half-axle.
Has anyone dealt with this kind of problem? How serious is it? Would changing seal fix it? Or am I lookinf at a bigger problem?...

Are you certain the "oil" is diff fluid and not brake fluid?

Well you need to pull that drum anyway so check out the seals on the wheel cylinder. Also brake fluid smells different than diff oil and is much thinner, that might help. I hope this helps cause if you have to do the axle seal then you have to pull the axle and should check the condition of the axle bearing. Its just more bucks than a wheel cylinder. By the way where is Uzbekistan?

Yeah, many people don't know where Uzbekistan is. To put it simple, we are part of what used to be Soviet Union, now a separate independant country. We are sort of in between Russia and Afghanistan. That might help. You go down: Russia, Kazakhstan (big country) then us.
We actually border with 5 counties, but I just mentioned the one you probably know...
