Rear Sag!

Is this the answer to my sagging rear on my 96 sr5?

I guess that would raise your rear.

There was a recall on rear springs for some 3rd Gens though. You might want to call a local dealer and see if it was done on yours.

If it was or doesn't apply to yours you could also try and buy some different coils online. I know there must be a good amount of people just on this forum that have lifted theirs, so maybe they have some coils they would be willing to sell.

you need springs not necessarily shocks

clemsonfan has it correct-this may be a dealer covered recall

The link provided took me to Skyjacker shocks by Rancho-you may need shocks also-but springs are what is 'sagging".

There was a recall on my 98 Limited. They switched out the rear springs for brand new ones.

Like Ron said, shocks affect the ride, springs will lift. It may be a good idea to switch out the shocks while you're at it.
