*..Rear Seat Audio Question..*

I have a 03 Limited with the JBL 10 speaker 6 disc system and Rear Seat Audio. I have recently swapped out the Head Unint for an 06 JBL 6 disc with the mp3/wma feature. Will my rear seat audio still work? I have not tried because I think the battery is dead in the remote and I have no wireless headsets. Just curious so I can know to go buy a battery and headsets. Thanks for any info......

i think thats something you would need to contact the dealer about..

you need to see if the plugs, and the pin-out of those plugs for those features are the same with both radios..

I changed mine with Scion radio and it did not work. But your your case, I think it is a same unit so it will work. Please post the answer when you find out.

If they plugged the plug in the back of the radio then it should work. If you don't have any head phones though ........

Didnt work

Well, I tried my rear seat audio when I first got my 4runner, about 2 months ago, and it didnt work. I assumed it was because of a dead battery in the remote. I then changed out the HU to a JBL synthesised 6disc mp3/wma unit and got a new battery for remote and a set of wireless headphones, and the thing still doesnt turn on. So, I would assume either A: the remote doesnt work period, or B: the remote works now but the new HU doesnt have that feature. Has anyone that swapped out the HU for the MP3/wam one still have RSA working?
