Rear shock & spring advice

Hello to the community, thanks for any advice that might be available!

Still very much a rookie here. But at least one that has read the great amount of sticky content, and great threads from many a member.

I am looking for a little advice. There doesn't seem to be much out there (or likely I am missing it), of discussion for minimal lift options. say 1" to .5".

Here is my predicament. Wife is pregnant. 1/2 the reason she's excited (and allowed) me to purchase our family truckster, was that the 4Runner will be easier to get into compared to my Tacoma (2" lift).

Right now, the 1996 4Runner is getting the front suspension dialed in, with Bilstein 6112s, to be set at their first circlip setting. Which should result in .4" of lift height. Just enough to satisfy me, and my expecting wife.

That said, for the rear I have a set of Bilstein 5160 R8s going in. What can/should I do in order to properly situate the rear with these to match the 'tasteful' .4" additional lift from the new front components?

New coils? 99" 'tall' coils??? Thanks in advance to all!

'99 talls will be good if you won't be carrying weight. 4th/5th gen 4Runner and FJ Cruiser OEM rear springs will give 1"-2" lift (depending on specifics) and be a bit stiffer (and cheaper!).

If you keep the running boards on there or add sliders that are 'flat' getting in should still be easy.

Thank you phatty, for the advice. I will keep investigating. I ordered a set of the Eibach Pro-Lift Rear Coils... They state they'll offer a 1" lift. I am hoping it is not too much!

Update, post intall

An update. Sadly, I do not have a matching before/after profile comparison. Nor did I take any proper measurements before I installed the new components. Doh. I just knew that the 4Runner didn't look or ride it's best after I bought it a few weeks ago.

Here we are, now sitting with the following new suspension setup.

Front:
Bilstein 6112, set to #6/4

Rear:
Bilstein 5160 B8
Eibach 1" Pro Lift springs (E30-82-006-05-02)

I am very pleased with the outcome stance wise. I wanted an ever so tiny but or rake, and a tasteful lift. I think it turned out ok. The ride quality is excellent on road. Haven't had a chance to get dirty yet...
