Rear Shocks for LC 9Wrap

ok so i have run into a little issue i am currently running OME 60027 shock from when i had 891 but these are nor long enough because i get about 1 to 1.5 of down travel so i need to swap out to something else to ensure the most when wheeling. i have heard some running rancho shocks but what are the part number my rear fenders shit at 43 1/2 and 44 1/4

i run bilstein 5125's with my 7.5 wraps.

they seem to ride well and they have plenty of flex. i will be switching to some taller LC coils this weekend so we'll see how much down travel i have left...i'm guessing it will still be plenty

Steeze, what taller LC coils are you gonna thrown in next? I'm gonna order some Skyjacker N8055 (Elton uses them with 8 wraps) and I'm thinking it should be long enough for my 9 wraps i'm gonna put it. I'm thinking Tundra trd springs with top out spacer for the fronts. Might get more rake than I want but should settle
 
i have a set of ome shocks and they are for a 3 inch lift aswell but there is very little down travel and i think iw would run into that same problem

Good to know guys - I am gonna throw the 5125's from my Tacoma build into the 4Runner.

10" shocks should work well, I need to combo it up with 9 wraps - anyone have a good source for those?

those shock from the tacoma won't bolt riht up to the 4runner. the tacoma shock is a eye-to-eye mount and the 4runner is a eye-to-stud. you're gonna need an eye-to-stud adapter like these

Hey! Lucky me!

The Bilsteins that Toytec supplied have the eye-to-stud adapter attached. They bolted up to the Taco just fine, I had to confirm with my Certified Tech they would work.

I'm not sure why your #s are so far off mine. Maybe because mine are the OME comfort shocks instead of the sports?? I'm getting several inches of down travel. Then I removed my sway bars and now it's enough to fully stuff the tire on the other side (meaning it couldn't go up any farther even if the shock would allow it). Steeze, do you know why I don't seem to be limited in my travel?

These pics are with the swaybar still on. Now I have about another 1" of travel on top of this.

I just made the decision and made the move. I ordered some monroe gas-magnum shocks for the rear of a Land Cruiser. If i remember to, I will let you guys know how they ride on this thread!

I'm confused cuz I did answer him.?? :shrug: They were OME N86C. I ended up selling those though and now I'm running Tokico FJZ80 shocks. I found the OMEs weren't long enough with the sway bar removed.

but thats good info on the LC shocks. I need to get some longer shocks, my travel is seriously limited by my shocks...
