That eye adapter looks nice. I know chaos makes them too. Still something I am considering when I do my new rear shocks. Then I will never have to mess with the rust bowl top bolt again.
My train of thought was also in the direction of the axle does not move just straight up and down. Every link and bar is a pivot point and can make that top stud flex in a lot of different directions. Mainly because every pivot is a radius but the top stud is just a flex bushing instead of also being a radius. An eyelet type just has a better range of motion in my opinion, like I said just my opinion. I may be way wrong on this but I just like the eyelet. And then if you went even further and found some floating eyelet style bushings that thing would have all the range it ever needs.
