Tool Tip

The transfer case switches can be pretty difficult to R&R in the rig. Fabbed up a tool that made it much easier for me. I cut off the hex part of a socket about and inch long and welded the end of a M8 bolt to it. You can get this over the switch connector and position it where you can use a box in wrench to turn it. I used a long wrench to brake the original part loose. Has worked great for me twice. I had to drop the rear of the transfer/transmission down a few inches to get enough clearance. It's been a while but I think I removed the trans cross member to do this.
