Rear Speaker Trouble

I bought a 85 4runner and i went to replace the factory radio and finally found the right harness but the trouble i am running into is I can't figure out how to get my back speakers to work. The harness fit perfectly but it is only for the front speakers. It is an SR5 so i thought there may be a built in amp for the back speakers but if there is, I can't find it. If anyone can help I know it is you guys.

To save yourself some trouble run Speaker Wire from HU to Rear Speakers.

Im not sure about your Year but If their is an amp in your SUV normally the front speakers would be connected as well as the rear.

NO sense in having an amp to power 2 of 4 speakers right?

In my 95 the amp only powers the rear speakers, it is the factory set up, but it is a sub/tweeter set up. What you have to do is plug the accessory remote wire(also called amp. remote wire) into the the powered antenna wire coming from your factory wiring harness, it controls the relay that turns the amp and the antenna on(if you have a powered antenna, I do not however). I had to search this forum to figure out how to do this. Because I had the same exact problem you are having.
