I recently had my rear springs and shocks changed out at a shop. I noticed today that one of the rear springs is caught on the axle base plate. It is slightly out of alignment with the notch for it to sit in. I don't really want to drop it off at the shop to get it adjusted. Was hoping I could do it myself. Is it possible to get enough tension off the spring without disconnecting the shock and sway link to just rotate the spring. I have to rotate it about a 1/2 inch counter clockwise. I'm hoping that with just jacking up the truck on the frame and jacking up the opposite side of the axle I'll have enough slack to rotate the spring.
you can totally do it. lift the truck let the axle droop and give the spring a twist. you will be golden. :trophy:
