Rear springs with ICON kits

I've been looking at getting an ICON kit for my 3rd gen (2002 SR5 Sport). It seems that all ICON rear shocks (the 2.0 up to the 2.5 w/resi+CDCV) state they are only good for 0-2" lift. That isn't a big problem immediately, as I was looking at OME 906 springs out of the gate.

The problem comes in down the road as I add weight and look to get a tougher spring. The 890/891 are 3", which seems like a bad idea with those ICON rear shocks.

So what rear springs are people running with ICON rear shocks? I'm somewhat surprised that they're limited to 2" to begin with.

EDIT: I should note that I'm not necessarily against a 2" lift, just unsure how I'd do that with a stronger spring down the road.

I was also looking at getting Icon suspension for my 3rd gen ('99 Limited--I was looking at the Stage 1 kit with front coilovers and rear shocks). I contacted Wheeler's Offroad and Toyota Automotive Performance (T4R vendors with lots of knowledge) about what rear springs would be appropriate and they said OME 890s would be fine. I did mention that I have ~100lbs of gear in the trunk + sliders, and plan to add more armor later on.

From reading, I gather the general consensus is that the OME 906s are fine for stock-ish 4Runners, while the 890s or 891s are preferable if you carry any additional weight.
