Rear Stablizers Bolts/Nuts

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm trying to remove the nut/bolt from the rear stabilizer bar that connect the end links to the sway bar.

There is a nut and the bolt end has room for a hex key....but I'm not sure which one you turn what way?

Any help?

Good ole righty tighty, lefty loosy. I think I held the hex key side and turned the wrench side.

I hit the bolts with PBlaster a couple nights ago and again today. It helped alot on the other bolts.....it's just these end links that are giving me trouble.

Alrighty...I'll go out there and try it again...I have a lot of rust under there....166,000 miles and all.

Welcome to the club... We have support meetings every Thursday at 8.

I havn't even been bothering with preserving the old components and have just been cutting everything off. My links were too rusty to salvage though, the fronts I legitimately had to cut off. The rears I am putting off until I do my suspension. I don't expect to be able to unscrew them though. Eventually my undercarriage will look all shiny and new, any I will be a whole lot poorer.

That was the least of my worries. I snapped both of the bottom bolts on the axle stabilizer bushings. One on each side. In typical Toyota style the bolt snapped off at the axle plate and it had a welded nut hidden behind the plate. I started with PB blaster but it was just too aged. I had to use a cold chisel to break the weld so I could put a nut behind the axle plate.
