rear storage compartment mod

I am planning a modification of my passenger side cargo area hidden compartment. I plan to remove all the interior plastic from side of the cargo area with the storage compartment below the window. My plan is to gut that area deep and maximize the storage with new panels and a larger access door. I do not plan to build in to any of the existing cargo area, but just maximize the space behind the plastic.

Problem: I don't know what it looks like behind that panel. It seems there is empty space back there, but I don't know.

Does anyone have any photos of what is behind the rear passenger side panel, before I go down this path? Thanks!

Great photos! Just what I was looking for. It looks like there is way more room behind that panel than what Toyota gives you.

I think I am off to the drawing board for this mod.
