Rear Suspension, Lower Control (Trailing Arm) bushings

99' sr5, manual, 280k miles.

The Rear Lower Control (Trailing) Arm has two large serviceable bushings, one on each end. I can't tell without pulling it out whether the bushings are the same part number front and rear. I want to order and replace all of them.

The parts diagram shows a part number for the rear (4870235070), but not the front. Does anyone know if these are actually the same part number?

The parts diagram says "4 Required", so since there are four bushing for the two sides, it would be the same part number.

Go to partsouq.com and enter your VIN number, then look at the parts diagram. I bought all 5 OEM control arms for my 2000 LC from them and it is on the way to me(4-5 days to receive). Check their prices and you will see those are about 40-50% less than what we get here in the US. Even with shipping, it still be cheap. Add some parts that you might need in the future. For example: rear OEM axle bearing is $53 and here is it $80.

NEVER install aftermarket bushings.

Thanks guys, the Toyota parts diagrams I have used until now don't have quantities listed so I called the dealer they are attached to. Apparently they don't understand theier own data as they insisted that the forward bushing could not be replaced, only the rear. I'm good on the Front, no issues.

Now back to the Rear: The upper short arms, does any one have an OEM bushing part number/source for those?

I don't see those bushings on the parts diagram, you might have to get the whole arm, or go aftermarket.

Just so you know too, it's 44mm outside diameter of the bushing sleeve and 56mm outside diameter for the tube they slide into on each end of the LCA. :-D I know because I'm working on a video of press my old ones out right now.

You can just use aftermarket poly bushings too. Whiteline makes replacement bushings for both upper and lower rear control arms.

From my experience pressing out the OEM bushings out of the rear lower control arms, they did look like the same exact bushing front and rear.

I’m set. Although I’m staying oem I appreciate the links to poly bushings.

It looks like the upper control arms and Transverse link (panhard rod) do not contain serviceable bushings. If anyone has oem replacements for those bushings that have alluded me it would be greatly appreciated.

Uppers are definitely serviceable, as I have done it. I replaced them with StrongFlex bushing from Sonoran Steel though, so not sure if you'll find an OEM replacement part. Also, not sure about the panhard bar, as I've got a SS adjustable back there and I tossed the old one (should have kept it:redbrick. #notmuchhelp
