Rear suspension on the 5th Gen?

I've read and heard it both ways now - does the 5th Gen have the live rear axle, or did Toyota move to an independent rear suspension with the new model?

The lady at the Toyota booth at the state fair last week told me IRS, but she didn't seem too confident.

It is still a live rear axle with coil springs, like the 4th gen.

The 2nd gen Sequoia has independent rear suspension. It's the only body on frame Toyota SUV with such a setup.

I saw that, too. It's wrong, of course, but there you go.

It does have 4-links to locate that live axle and coil springs. But it isn't an independent rear suspension.
