Rear Suspension set up for Donahoes

I know this has been discussed a lot in other threads, but most of the threads are pretty old. I am looking into buying the Donahoe front coilovers and wanted to know if Donahoe ever came out with a rear coil/ shock solution to compliment their front, 0-3" front coilovers. This is about the only thing that is keeping me from ordering yet. I see that a lot of people with Donahoe coilovers are using Deaver coils in the rear. Has Donahoe came out with a 2" rear lift coil or is Deaver the manufacturer that Donahoe is using to supply their rear coils? Most of the threads I have read are from 2005 or 2006 and DR stated in those threads that their engineers were working on something. Does anybody know weather or not they ever came out with a solution to this? I was wanting to buy everything at once from Wheelers Off-Road, hoping they would give some sort of discount for ordering front and rears. Also, does anybody know of a cheaper place to order the Donahoe's? Thanks in advance for the help.

Hmmm...let me rephrase this a little. I know Donahoe sells coils and shocks for the rear, but are those listed on their site really DR's or are they Deavers in disguise? Do they make different stiffness? I was looking for about a 20% increase. Has anybody who has had the DR rear shocks, had any problems out of them? I heard the rears had a leaking issue.

Yes, Donahoe does have rear shocks and rear coil springs for 4th Gen 4Runners. The shocks should work with 0" to 2" lift. The coils they offer give 2" of lift. The springs are stiffer than stock, but I'm not sure how much. I don't think Donahoe makes their own coils. They're outsourced to their specs. I'd heard that Deaver used to source the Donahoe coils, but don't now. They may be made by Eibach. Both are good, reputable companys and actually I believe that Deaver only manufactures leaf springs. If you order coils from them they're outsourced as well. So far I've had zero probs with the Donahoe front c/o's, rear shocks (no leaks) or the Deaver coils. I've seen a couple of postings that talk about Donahoe rears leaking, but its always 2nd, 3rd or 4th hand info. I have yet to see anyone say its happend to them.

If you have a specific rear coil height/stiffness spec in mind, you can order custom coils from Deaver. I did, and they came exactly as ordered. The guys at Deaver were helpful and very easy to work with.

Deaver and Donahoe no longer do business together. Donahoe uses Eibach, Duer (Carolina Coil), and one other that I can't remember. The rear coils are 20%-30% firmer than stock. The rear shocks are really a great application for travel and valving. There have been a few leakers, but they have a lifetime warranty and DR is spot on with customer service. I know we sell lots of them.
