rear suspension

I'm looking at buying a 2000 4 Runner at an excellent price but the down side is the rear torque arm mount has rusted off the frame, I'm a pretty fair fabricator and am pretty sure I can fix it. Is there any other places I should look before I buy it? Thanks Bob

A trailing arm mount? I'd definitely be checking for frame rot...

might want to say pass on that one buddy. trust us, the frame wont last as long as the rest of the parts on the car.

The top of the frame rails over the muffler are notorious too. I'd also suggest you stay away.

But it's your call. Go for it if its cheap enough.
